Outside Our Coverage?

You can still purchase a vehicle from Clutch even if you live outside our active sales areas. You’ll just need to take delivery in one of our operating provinces and handle the registration yourself once you return home. Please note that financing is only available to customers within our coverage area—if you’re buying from outside, you’ll need to pay in full upfront.

Home Delivery & Pickup

You can have any vehicle delivered right to your door—and if you’re selling, we can come pick it up too. Delivery and pickup are available throughout Ontario and the Maritime provinces.

Clutch operates two types of physical locations: main retail hubs and pop-up locations. Our retail hubs—located in Mississauga, Etobicoke, Halifax, and Richmond—are open seven days a week and staffed with Field Specialists who can assist with deliveries, drop-offs, and vehicle walkarounds. Pop-up locations are temporary drop-off and pickup points available on select days in key markets such as Ottawa, Moncton, and Barrie. These pop-ups help extend our reach and provide added flexibility for customers outside major city centres.

Delivery & Shipping Fees

Delivery and shipping fees are always disclosed up front during the online checkout process—no hidden charges.

  • Delivery Fee: Based on your distance from a Clutch retail facility; covers the cost of fuel and a Field Specialist to bring the vehicle to your door
  • Shipping Fee: Applies when transferring a vehicle to a regional pop-up hub (e.g., Toronto to Ottawa); this is separate from local delivery

Tip: To save on delivery fees, you can pick up your vehicle at a Clutch retail or pop-up location near you.

​​Vehicle Quality & Reconditioning

At Clutch, we hold every vehicle to a high standard before it ever appears on our site. Over 95% of our inventory comes directly from customers who either sell or trade in their vehicles with us. Unlike traditional dealerships or online platforms that rely heavily on auctions or former rental vehicles, Clutch prioritizes low-ownership, clean-history cars we can recondition to near-new condition.

Each vehicle goes through a thorough reconditioning process—mechanical and cosmetic. Licensed technicians inspect all major systems, perform necessary repairs, and replace parts to ensure each car meets our internal standards. If a vehicle doesn’t meet those standards, we won’t list it for sale—it’s routed through wholesale channels instead.

This reconditioning process happens primarily in-house, allowing for tighter quality control and faster turnaround. When additional capacity is needed, we work with trusted third-party facilities that meet our same standards.

Every Clutch vehicle includes a 210-point inspection report and detailed photos, including any cosmetic imperfections, so you know exactly what to expect—no surprises.

Warranty & Protection Plans

Our standard warranty is a 3-month / 6,000 km Protection Plan which is included in the Essential Package. This plan covers key mechanical components—like the engine, brakes, and transmission—once any manufacturer warranty has expired. If a covered issue arises, Clutch will either repair, refund, or exchange the vehicle, depending on the situation.

What’s covered:

  • Powertrain components (engine, transmission, etc.)
  • Key systems required for safe operation
  • Towing reimbursement up to $75 if needed for a covered breakdown
  • Pre-approved rental reimbursement if your vehicle is in for repair

What’s not covered:

  • Cosmetic issues (scratches, dents, etc.)
  • Wearable parts (brake pads, tires, filters, wipers, etc.)
  • Scheduled maintenance or aftermarket accessories

For full peace of mind, Clutch also offers Extended Protection Plans for long-term coverage. These plans can cover repairs for major components well beyond the 3-month period and are a great option for customers planning to keep their vehicle for years to come.
